"Where is the best place within Central California to shift camp?

That would be around lakes? Anyone been camp lately? We are thinking of doing this but not sure where we would have the most fun..... Important factor,, our two children ages 8 and 6..... Ideas please........

I don't know exactly where on earth this is in relation to where you are but nearby is a place called Camp Pi Pi. It is about 4000' up surrounded by Amador county off of highway 88.
This may be too far from where you live but in that is a small river that runs through there along with full-size open fields of manic flowers and hiking trails that the kids would enjoy.
