mac is good but its pricey i close to coverfirl the best its also alot cheaper or just try goin to like a walgreens or something and grabin a bunch of different kind to find the one u like best
the best place to find a polite eyeliner is Sephora....they sell a lot of different brands and you can find the one that suits you and your wants better and easier.

most of my friends use Morbid eyeliner from Hot Topic. But I just use black eyeshadow and a brush.
I walk for MAC as well. Try the fluidliner. It's super-great!
I love Clinique Quickliner. It is amazing. It's self-sharpening, so you never have to verbs about the tip getting dull, and it's perfect for skinny even lines. It's sold on their website, as all right as the makeup counters in Dillards, Nordstrom, etc. Sephora sells tons of different brands (including Clinique), so you should look nearby too. If you go to the store you can ask what they recommend. They have something for everyone and any budget. Good luck. :)
