****wnat to put sand within my fresh tropical container be the best place to buy it?(a)***?
hi all i want to put sand in my cistern however weres the best place to buy it im in the middx area...i also want to imbue my tank with fish weres the cheapest place to jump....one last Qs i want to buy a pump filter all contained by one for a 8ft tank curved tank anyone reccomend one...used to hang on to guppies...platies etc years ago thanks to all that answer it be a great give a hand

Argos! Cheapest, huge bags of sand around and they are 100% safe.

An adjectives centre would be a good start, halfords won't be capable of help you nor will debenhams.
Buying a fish is not about looking for the cheapest place to go to.
Go to a place which have been in business for a long time, an aquarium whose staff are steadfast fish owners rather than people who only just want to make money.
Talk to them, if they are going to sell you fish straight up, run a mile.
If they dont give somebody a lift any water tests from your reservoir after a week and sell you fish, run even further.
Sand you can buy from anywhere but i'd find your fish aquarium first and discuss it with them.

I used to acquire my Aquarium supplies and tropical fish from: -

You can use play pit sand in an aquarium, i hold been using it for years with no trouble, newly make sure you rinse thoroughly.
Go to local Fish shops and check out the stock - i feel it's better to by point fish rather than getting them cheap. If you are after cheap fish maybe check out aquarist classified on a google rummage through where you might find people selling stock or babies if you are ready to grow them on.
With regards to a filer, i think you will be better sour getting two filters to run that tank fairly than just one. The distance from one end of the container to another is too great for one filter to circulate the water efficiently, capture two and put one at either end

I dont shop contained by the full line pet stores as there is no specialty. You mentioned Texas.
