In my personal opinion, macs are the best, but if your a windows fan-boy (and you occur to live in the uk) i suggest Pcworld, they do some good bargins, but approaching i suggested, try a mac, there worth it:P Source(s): My mac :D
Get a MacBook.
http://www.apple.com
I have a Dell.
Try not to get Vista, it still have compatibility problems.
NO VISTA PLEASE IF YOU WANT QUICK COMPUTING.
I tried Vista, its just a Memory consumption software, nothing more... ONLY good graphics... and slow laggy ceremony. Unless you give it atleast 2 GB RAM
Note: Dont spend toooooooooo much on getting latest one or greatly much functions one, cause laptops have a constrained life .. 2-3 years will be "very good" i guess.
Dell/ IBM/ HP /possibly Toshiba-- some stable / long stable ones
Sony/ Samsung/-- some High Tech ones,
sony viao rule
I have an HP dv6000 series and I positively love it....there is a whole dv series, abundant of which are really only found at best buy or on sites like ebay, and they are adjectives a similar make, just beside different specifications for different price ranges and applications......I just bought my wife one an HP dv9000t for a steal on ebay last week if truth be told, because she likes my laptop a lot too. Ebay is a great place to buy cheap electronics, you of late have to be scrupulous in the region of who you buy it from. do your research....that is the best advice I can endow with.
i bought mine at walmart recently, its and everex, it has vista. for a cheap laptop its enormously good. i havent had anyproblems beside it at. the only thing it lacks is pious speakers
Buy Dell from Dell.com or Dell.ca (depending on where you are living), get a 3 year warranty as laptops do die quit habitually, and a warranty will keep you on the safe side. It is prudent to stay away from cheap laptops, as you will end up spending ALOT of money on getting their parts replaced later surrounded by life. Trust me, I work at a Helpdesk, I see dead laptops everyday!
Windows Vista is not a program, its an Operating System, a spanking new one, and there are a few bugs in it, so , stick to Windows XP, until Microsoft released a Service Pack for Windows Vista.
I recommend Dell because of their customer service and build ability!
If you live close to a Costco, you should get a laptop from there. They market both HP and Dell brands. Costco also has a very nice return policy if you're not pleased beside your purchase.
As for Vista, you should probably get it since new software will be written for it within the future. I recommend you get Vista Premium since that will hold most of the features you'll need.
