Where is the best place to buy kitchen appliances?
My wife and I have been doing some shopping and we've be astonished at the prices of stainless steel appliances... We're hoping someone out there knows of a great discount store that sell appliances for a lot less than retail. Specifically, we're looking to purchase a cooktop, wall oven and microwave, and a dishwasher.
We find the prices are adjectives fixed between: Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, etc... so please don't post any regular stores like these.

Scratch and dent showrooms. Really, these exist. Sale items being discontinued contained by the brand name stores. Be aware that the stainless steel finish is a fad that will fade. So consider white appliances. This will be timeless and bequeath your kitchen a clean look. White will be much more affordable.
Take a magnet with you if you really must hold stainless steel. Some stainless steel refrigerators will not hold a magnet, they're not really steel. Lately, manufacturers are making even these out of a steel trim so magnets will stick to them. This is a harder surface to keep verbs, of course.
If you buy used, you will inherit other people's problems.

Came to find out that there is not an authorized repair service in our nouns. Closest was 1 1/2 hours one way. LG wouldn't clear the repair man for his time and mileage and he wouldn't come without being remunerated. Friends ended up paying him out of their pockets and LG paid for the repairs to the stove lower than warranty. They are still trying to get their money out of LG.
Check your local appliance stores also. Some have attractive bag prices they might be able to work with you on. Personally, I'd fairly pay $100 more for an appliance from my local guy than buy it at a big box store. I know if I ever have a problem, that he will service it for me surrounded by the fastest, most cost effective manner. In the 27 years I've be dealing with our local shop, I had single paid for 3 service calls and adjectives were greatly discounted. And if it's something I can fix myself, he tells me how to do it and make sure I have the right parts to do the job. But if it's some what of an emergency, he's here in an hour. You don't get that kind of service from a big box store.
My stove quit just now and they know I cook a lot. They were here in an hour of my calling and we made the decision to get a strange one after the diagnosis. But the repairman fixed it enough that I could at least use the cook top until they could find my new one delivered. And I get free delivery, set up and haul away of the frail one. If I had bought elsewhere, I would have have to pay for at least one or more of those services. Just get my $ back on that one.
And when my dryer died one time, I had 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a 6 week out-of-date baby to do laundry for and it was January and not at adjectives conducive to hanging clothes outside to dry. I called and the repairman be here in 15 minutes. Unfortunately it would have cost more to fix than to buy a tentative one but I didn't pay for the service call and have my new dryer that afternoon.
