What is the Best Brand of Bike?

im trying to buy a 10-speed bicycle, and i need to know the best brand to get. What would be a accurate brand? how much do 10-speeds go for now at the moment? where would be the best place to look for a new 10-speed bike?
Answers:
If you mean a 10-speed "racer" type bicycle (drop handlebar road bike) you should look at vintage bikes from the 1970's or impulsive 1980's, there are lots of them around and some of them sell for ridiculously low prices.

Once you spend over $800 in that really are no "bad" bikes. What you need to look at is how much are you willing to spend. After that it is a event of finding a good dealer. Check near your local bike shop and let them know the type of riding, how much you will ride and your budget.
Its be awhile since you had a bike isn't it? These kind of bike are across the world called "road bikes" and even the basic models hold 18 speeds. They cost a little bit more these days too, but adjust for inflation they are probably not much more that the Schwinn Paramount 10sp you used to see in the bike store back surrounded by the day.

The best brands for novices or those coming put a bet on from the couch are I think:
Scott USA: check out the Speedser F50
Specialized: Langster?
Bianchi: Nirone 7 Sora
GT: GTR series 4

Expect to pay ~$800 US for an entry smooth road bike. Plus you will need some other stuff like marine bottles, tool kit, patch kit, and mini pump.
Yup---get a TREK, Specialized or if you get tons of $$$---a Cervelo Carbon rig. ( just to name a few ). Read bicycling.com---
